Summary
Alastor can admit, in the silence of his own head as he walks away from the first official overlord meeting since the Extermination Day that Wasn’t, that Charlie MIGHT have been right. He probably should have stayed home.
Not that he’d tell the girl that under pain of torture - that kind of hand-wringing and fretting wasn’t the sort of thing that should be encouraged in anyone, least of all the Princess of Hell.

Summary
Alastor could be a master manipulator all he wanted, but there were a few things he didn't understand. In a world where one's birth determines one's status, he was glad to be at the very top. He was used to stepping on people as he liked, and most importantly, he found it fun! Vox was one of the many toys he found entertaining to mess with. The silly TV was quick to anger, and he always tried to look as tough as Alastor. It was too bad that the Radio Demon truly never understood Vox's true obsession.
