After death had claimed Mika Hunning, Mika finds themselves in a new body... and a new world. Where once a human, now turned into a Azumarill with no explanation other than thinking he's somehow came to Heaven. Only to find said Heaven leads to a daycare known as Everstone Daycare where humans can't understand them and he can talk to strange creatures known as Pokemon. Finding the only shelter he could think of- he meets the employees and nurses of the daycare who believe he's a wild or Runaway Pokemon who came from abusive humans.
Which wouldn't be too far off- but how could he explain to them that he wasn't a Pokemon!? Once a human!? Come to find out- he's right where he needs to be. To learn to be loved again. To be reminded he's safe. To be reminded he can float again and become something better than those who have done them wrong.
