It is no simple feat to be claimed,” she cautioned. “Others have died for even attempting to go near one. In some ways, you are lucky to be alive.”
Luke pulled away from his mother's embrace and wondered if falling from a tower was a better fate than the one that had befallen him.
He needed a dragon to his name. That way, no one would whisper about his bastard blood tainting the family tree.
