Today was a lovely day for a leisurely spring walk, in the opinion of a diamond eyed knight. The sun was almost overhead. The soft breeze from his window kissed his skin in reverence as if he were a rosary. A few birds chattered with jubilancy. It was weather that most people would take even a little time out of their schedule to enjoy; much more enticing than staying cooped up inside with this month’s paperwork.
So he found it quite odd to see a ragged body hiding away in the bushes just as he began his midday stroll.

"Five-hundred bucks, and, uh," the guy's face twitches as his good eye roves down Enjin and Rudo's figures, makes Enjin feel like a piece of meat on a hook. He jerks his chin towards Enjin's pocket. "Your pack of cigarettes. That sound good?"
Enjin dares a glance at Rudo, winces when he sees his mortified expression. But he can't keep taking Rudo to school on the back of his shitty little bike, and beggars can't be choosers.
He sighs, runs a hand through his hair. "Yeah, sounds good."
