Late one evening, in a wealthy manor hidden in the wilderness of upstate New York, a man steps forward to announce that there was been...a murder!
Alastor, who just committed a murder, turns to Vincent, who just failed to hide the body, with a look that could kill a second time. And while Vincent is adamant that it's not his fault, he magnanimously offers to be interrogated first and provide believable alibis to the detective. He has the upmost confidence that this will smooth things over.
This does not smooth things over.
And, as per usual, Alastor has to suffer for it.

Vox backed into the store, feeling hands grab at his shoulders and arms tug him back further. He just stopped himself from jumping as a sinner appeared out of his blind spot to reach out and shut the door. She remained there, holding the door shut while breathing heavily, but quietly. She didn't even look at him, focused on the fog outside. Vox found himself copying her, and everyone else in the shop as they waited.
They didn't have to wait long before something moved in the fog.

At first, he's pissed—who wants to be stuck in a fucking toaster?—but then he realizes what a great opportunity this is to rekindle his on-again, off-again (mostly off, let's be honest) situationship with one Alastor, Radio Demon, especially when he figures out he can jump from toaster to fridge to washing machine. Alastor is, as one might expect, Not Happy About It™ (yet).

The warm gold glowed for a moment under the filtered light. "I've been staring at that storefront on Royal Street for three days, Al. Three days. That blue suit is calling my name."
Alastor sighed, tucking his shirt into his pants with precise movements.
