Summary
After the Hotel residents left him to die after the Extermination, Alastor doesn't want to be friends. He was finally starting to trust, and with this he's determined he's not going to give his heart out, regardless of if Charlie feels bad or not. Alastor needs to remind everyone: It is NOT his job to manage their feelings. His reaction to their abandonment does not require pity, and if they feel bad for their actions, well--who's fault is that, hmm? 'It starts with sorry' but that doesn't mean he has to forgive them...
Slow burn found family, Vox is also a main character, and Valentino is a much more calculating abuser than he is in the show.

Summary
HYDRA succeeds in capturing Loki, and his DNA is exactly what they needed to create a second Winter Soldier. If they take a child and alter her with Loki's blood and the Space Infinity Stone, they can have another, arguably better, weapon. Unfortunately, both of their perfect weapons happen to escape... Even more unfortunately for them, Bucky Barnes and 14 (and 3/4!) year old Winter* haven't been mentally prepared for everyday life. So, to cope, they set out on the next best thing: a way to make sure those who hurt them can't hurt anyone else. They're gonna destroy HYDRA.
Alternatively titled: the Misadventures of two human weapons with PTSD trying their best to destroy their abusers.
Yeah, mostly found family because I really enjoy Bucky Barnes as a traumatized but fundamentally good character.*HYDRA did plan for her to be the younger counterpart for the Winter Soldier. Also, her real name is Friday, so don't confuse the two.
