Summary
The woman in the classroom (the teacher, he realizes, only after seeing her name tag) stares at him just as hard as the seated students. She starts to speak, her mouth going too wide, and he braces himself before he notices that he’s doing it. Forces his shoulders to move down from their halfway point to his ears. “Damien al Jewel Wayne, right?” She has a smudge of red lipstick on her front tooth, and he is stuck staring at it. She repeats his name, which he doesn’t recognize as his name, then sticks her hand out. The only familiar word was ‘Wayne’.

“Don’t move,” Jason whispers. “If we don’t move he won’t see us.”
“That’s for a T-rex and it’s a lie. They could very well kill you even then.”
“You are shitting on my hopes and dreams, Replacement.”
“I’m not. I’m just saying —”
“Todd,” Damian calls and when he gets no answer from Jason, he whimpers, “Drake.”
“I can't believe I'm saying this but he’s breaking my heart, dude."
“Shut up, don’t give in. It’s a trap.” Jason says. “It’s a trap —”
They lose both the battle and the war when Damian stops waiting for them and instead stumbles forward, almost drunkenly, and unceremoniously flops himself on Jason’s front, full-on crying against his chest.
“Jesus fuck, Baby-bat. Who do I have to kill?”
(Or the one where Jason and Tim come to the Manor on the early hours of the day after a long night of patrol and they find weird new kind of life form out of this world that cries with snot and all inside the Manor. It takes them some time, because they are both dumbasses, to convince themselves that's actually their little brother crying his eyes out.)

“Damn, kid,” he says, “who did this to you? I thought you weren’t going out on patrol until Tuesday?”
Damian steadfastly refuses to answer. He reaches up to his nose, batting Father’s hands away. Father’s brows furrow before he tries to pry Damian’s hands away from his face.
Father’s voice is terse as he says, “Let me help, sweetheart.”
Both Damian and Todd seemingly ignore Father as Todd turns his head to the side like it’ll help him get a better look. “Did you sneak out? Are you giving us the silent treatment ‘cuz you’re pissed off you got caught?”

Damian pulls out his phone and dials Richard’s number- his chauffeur has been unfortunately painstakingly instructed to answer no calls whatsoever from Damian, and Alfred has begun to pretend that phones do not exist during school hours. Unsurprisingly, as it is eight in the morning, it goes to voicemail. Damian waits impatiently for the beep. “Richard,” he says, in tones of the deeply suffering, “this place is a hostile environment. I must be collected post-haste, as after this latest indignity I am dropping out. Come at once, or I may die here.”
The dynamic duo attend a parent-teacher conference. No one has a good day.

I believe I must retract my previous statement regarding my wish to not further my acquaintance with Jonathan Kent. Despite his numerous flaws, I have found him to be the least reprehensible person here. While I may not have chosen to associate with him if I had better options, I confess I find his naivety and loyalty somewhat refreshing. He discovered that I have been taking care of a stray cat litter, and neither told the teachers nor made any attempt to blackmail me. He also shared some sugared sweets his mother sent him. You should encourage Father to ask Mrs. Kent to disclose the recipe to Mr. Pennyworth.
