Summary
Peter, Drax, Mantis, Groot, Nebula, and Rocket. A bunch’a jackasses sitting in a circle. The core Guardians of the Galaxy, sans Gamora, and — yeah, that will never not sting. So it’s probably for the best that they find their own path, but Peter’s always found it hard to let go of the past. The Guardians will live on, and they will always be family, but they’ll never be this group, in this time, ever again.
“Alright, alright,” Rocket says, with a half-assed attempt at his usual swagger. “Here’s how this is gonna work. We’re gonna, one at a time, name a raccoon baby.” He reaches into the box, pulling one away from the pack. Its little paws knead at the air, trying to find a surface. “Then we’re gonna tag it. Then they’re gonna get to run free ‘round Knowhere until they’ve grown enough to go home.”
Before the Guardians formally disband, Rocket asks one last thing of them all.

Margaret Atwood's 2003 sci-fi/apocalypse novel Oryx and Crake often feels like a disfavored child living in the shadow of its nearly two-decades-older, televised, and widely celebrated sister, The Handmaid's Tale, which gained popularity as a sort of cautionary tale against women of her class (mostly white, Western, straight, able-bodied, and middle-class) remaining uncritical of the rapidly changing world around them. Though not written from a woman's point of view, the tragedies depicted in Oryx and Crake are nonetheless rooted in a society similarly perverted by patriarchy and capitalism, the effects of which mirror the real-life loneliness epidemic seen among today's young people, especially today's uncritical and lonely young men.

Summary
It’s in the middle of scanning the last bottle of green tea that Itadori properly looks up. Eye contact with him is a physical, unexpected shock, a crunch of imaginary static snapping through Megumi and leaving his hands twitching at his sides.
"Hey." Itadori blinks, wide and earnest. "Do I know you from somewhere?"
The tea sloshes backwards in the bottle he’s holding. Megumi focuses on this until his vision steadies.
"No," he says. "I don’t think so."
In the aftermath, Itadori loses his memories instead of his life. Megumi grieves nonetheless.
