Summary
When Alfred hears a knock on the Manor doors, he thinks nothing of it. Bruce is still at WE for a little longer and the children of the manor at school, so he opens the heavy doors to tell the guest as such and take a message.
Alfred could not tell you what it was that made his mouth dry out and his steps falter.
But he could tell you with certainty that it had something to do with the way he did not gasp or feel his heart stutter in his chest.
Instead, Alfred feels a wave of melancholy wash over him and steps aside to gesture the man in.
“Would you like some tea, sir?”Perhaps this was a conversation that needed tea.

Summary
It's 1956 in the Midwest. Margaret Cannery is a housewife, a widow and retired teacher. She lives by herself on a small farm, on the edge of town. But her unexciting life takes an unexpected turn one night when a strange and exotic visitor falls out of the sky and lands in her garden. Now, two very different souls must struggle to understand one another...and perhaps, to find love.
I call this original but it's basically old school Dungeons and Dragons with slightly modified versions of current fan and porn tropes. 99% of the grim dark stuff is in the flashbacks, and for the most part this is just intended to be a nice wholesome relaxing slice of life with an adorable fish out of water and a cultural gap the size of the Marianas Trench. And yes, there will definitely be a happy ending - and without too much pain along the way.
