Summary
A familiar figure sat cross-legged on a cushioned window sill across from the door, gesturing excitedly as he spoke to the children circling him. He wore black jeans and a matching long-sleeved scrub top, and his sneakers sat neatly beside him. A gold and red striped beanie and Hello-Kitty themed sunglasses completed his attire. If Steve hadn’t been familiar with Tony’s unique mannerisms, he wouldn’t have recognized him.
As he studied the older man more closely, he also noticed that the sleeve of Tony’s left arm was pushed up to reveal thick plastic tubing snaking its way from his bicep toward a large bag filled with clear liquid that appeared to be saline. The bag dripped steadily into the line and hung from a tall IV pole that cast an ominous shadow over Tony's lap as he sat there, seemingly ignoring it completely as he mimed tossing an object in a manner similar to how Steve threw his shield.Bookmarked by Red1Der1995

“Hello?” Tony answered, softly climbing out of bed so as not to wake Pepper.
“Mr. Stark? This is Gregory Shaw.” The man on the other line explained.
“Oh. How did you get this number?” Tony asked. He didn’t remember anyone by that name.
“You and your wife went through the training and process to be foster parents. I’m a social worker, and I was calling because I have a child who needs a place to stay.”
“We did that before we knew Pepper was pregnant. I thought she called to update you. We’re not really in a place to take on more kids.” Tony ran a hand down his tired face, glancing down the hall to Morgan’s nursery. He didn’t want this call to wake her. She was in what Pepper called a sleep regression.
“She did. I am running out of people to call, and I was just hoping you’d give it a shot. No one else will even hear me out. I get it. It’s late. No one wants to take in a teenager, but he’s still a child, and he still deserves a home.” Gregory Shaw cleared his throat, “Sorry. It’s not your problem.”
“Wait.” Tony didn’t know why he paused, “Tell me more.”

Summary
Harry had just finished his fifth year at Hogwarts when his uncle picks him up from the platform, shoves him on a plane, and tries to sell him to his biological father in New York. Harry is still reeling from the death of his godfather, and is not ready for a new father. Tony Stark has just managed to get the Avengers to move into his tower after the whole Ultron mess when he is landed with a moody teenage son who wants absolutely nothing to do with him.
Or: Tony Stark is forces to be a dad and Harry is forced to be a son. Both have no fucking idea what to do - cue angst, fluff, and more angst. No regrets.

Summary
Harry Potter was done.
All he had ever wanted was a little less time at the Dursleys. Technically, he got his wish after the Battle of the Department of Mysteries. But he had been picturing something along the lines of a quiet holiday in Italy, not a stint in Azkaban.
One year later, Harry is released, only to discover that Italy is still very much not on the table and, somehow, he’s being sent straight back to Privet Drive.
Fortunately for the plot, Sirius decides that witnessing the murder of a classmate clearly wasn’t enough trauma for one lifetime and drops a small, life-altering detail: Harry’s parentage is not what he thought. And if Harry can survive a basilisk, the Triwizard Tournament, and Umbridge, then surely he can survive a trip to New York to get himself emancipated.
Because what could possibly go wrong?
A new job, a government interrogation or two, and an unexpected rivalry over blueberries later, Harry finds himself wondering why everyone makes such a big deal about Tony Stark.
He’s not going to be that difficult to deal with.
