But maybe he can make his winter break a good one, even if it takes braving the horrors of public transportation, a risky journey to New York City, and some light stalking.

Summary
Sometimes—most of the time—all the time, Tim gets the sense that he’s not real. Sure, he’s, well, scientifically existent. There are cells that form a body and a thinking brain and a mind and that conglomeration is called Tim. So, in a purely theoretical sense, Tim is real.
But in a practical sense, Tim just doesn’t exist.
(It takes less than an hour for Tim to cleanse the brownstone of all traces of his presence.)

The clock in the corner ticks, the goldfish tank hums, and the smell of mildew sinks into Tim's sinuses. Everything swirls in his mind in a never ending loop. Phantom screams, the glow of fire, last words left unsaid. They’re gone. He doesn’t have cousins or aunts or uncles or grandparents or even close family friends. It’s just Tim now.
A few years back, he created Edward Drake. Just a fake ID, a papertrail, and social media profiles. His dad’s supposed brother, conceived through an affair and kept a secret from the rest of the family until he reconnected with Jack Drake recently.
Uncle Eddie was never meant to be a physical person. But with a few tweaks, all he needs is a face.
