Summary
There really needs to be more DaroMeta out here, so I shall bring some. (Read the Dreamy Gear novel!)
In an AU where Dreamland falls to ruin before Meta Knight attains complete mastery in swordsmanship and before he retrieves the Galaxia, King Dedede is overthrown, and Kirby is never created. Meta Knight, still training under his captain, Vul, is captured and sold as a prisoner of war. This focuses on Daroach, a master thief and treasure hunter, voyaging across the universe with his loyal Squeaks, and Meta Knight.
This series does have somewhat dark tones to it.
I've been re-editing some chapters a bit to update what I feel needs to be improved overall :) 20/34 re-edited
*I know I haven't technically updated in a while, but 1). college leaves me with like 0 time :') and 2). I have actually been going back and editing and re-editing past chapters (over and over again 😭) so I'm definitely still working on this! Just wanna keep perfecting it

King Dedede wakes up in a world damn near identical to his own. Or something. The place kind of feels like a greasy contraband version of Dream Land, but that wasn’t really the important part.
What was important was getting OUT of this mess. “How” was a question he’d have to answer too, but in the meantime, he might as well get comfy with the locals, right?
At least the ones that didn’t hate him. Which, unfortunately, wasn’t very many.
And what the hell was a Demon Beast?
tldr: Anime Dedede and Game Dedede get switched. Shenanigans ensue Parent Trap style.

Summary
The end of Void Termina does not mean the end of the troubles that Kirby and the Star Allies have to face. Shortly after Void's demise, another problem arises which requires Kirby's full attention. The sorcerer Yin Yarn, who was vanquished long ago by Kirby and one of his best friends Prince Fluff, still seems to be alive somehow. The only things that still carry any resemblance to his influence are the two remaining wooden needles, which can possess even the strongest minds. With that knowledge, Kirby and Prince Fluff have no choice but to keep those needles a secret until they can find someone, who knows how to deal with cursed artifacts. Secrets, however, can lead to grave misunderstandings. Kirby is still a lovable pink puffball, although they might get a teeny tiny bit angry when one of their friends gets hurt badly. Combined with the numerous betrayals they have faced as well as the fact that not too long they had to face their biggest threat yet, it's no surprise that their nerves are blank and their paranoia at an all-time high. What happens when the burned-out and ever so slightly untrusting Heroe starts looking for a traitor that doesn't even exist?
