When he thought about it later though, he realized that he shouldn’t have been that surprised by the news. After all, the former rider’s appearance would certainly cause a stir in the paddock, especially with Marc being sidelined after the sprint just the week prior.
And Valentino Rossi loved to draw attention to himself.

Finally Vox seemed to understand that he had made a mistake and his eyes widened in fear.
The excitement should have been intoxicating, instead it left a bitter taste in his mouth.
Alastor took a deep breath.
He exhaled.
And he extended his hand to him.
