Summary
At 17 years old, all Nico di Angelo wants is to live his life the way he wants, the best way he can. Dealing with the usual quest from his father and the reappearance of one Percy Jackson at Camp Half-Blood is just part of the deal of being alive.
His father's last request to investigate a suspicious rebirth throws everything he considered normal out the window, as he stumbles upon a mysterious group wanting to end the world, with Percy as his only backup.
With no resources other than their weapons and demigod powers, the two must find a way to stop this new plot to destroy the world, find out who is behind all this, and maybe, just maybe, resolve the feelings that Nico was sure had been left in the past.

Ironically, despite being forced together, Percy and Nico are driven further apart as they try to separate their growing, confusing feelings from the curse.

Percy was drowning, and he didn't understand why. He's a son of Poseidon, the very idea of him drowning is ludicrous. Yet, there he was, drowning in the middle of his birthday party.
Nico had always been lost in the dark. He ruled over darkness, it listened and beckoned him, but he couldn't find his way in it. He longed for someone to guide him.
Maybe their reconnecting is just what they need to fix their problems. Only time will tell.

Nico di Angelo, son of Hades, left Italy when he was young with his family. As he grows up, he has to face the duality of being both Catholic and a Demigod, as well as his feelings that go against the norm.
It's kind of funny how all those issues converge in a son of Poseidon with sea green eyes.
