Summary
Officer Jared Padalecki is shot on a routine drug bust gone wrong, and he winds up in the hospital under the care of nurse Jensen Ackles. After he's released Jared never expects to see the nurse again, but he runs into him by chance at a local coffee shop, coming off his night shift. Their budding romance is an unusual one, checked by Jared's long-term recovery and Jensen's unconventional work schedule, and sometimes it's not easy to find time for one another. Somehow though, through thick and thin, they're determined to make it work.

Summary
Bilbo Baggins was no longer just a "burglar." He was a fixture. He could be found in the kitchens correcting the seasoning of the stews, in the library organizing scrolls with Balin, or, more often than not, sitting on the edge of the King’s council table, swinging his feet and offering common-sense advice that Thorin actually listened to.
The Company, the survivors of the original quest, had long since accepted this. They had watched the subtle shift from friendship to something deeper. They saw the way Thorin’s hand lingered on Bilbo’s shoulder, the way they shared quiet meals in the King’s private solar, and the way Thorin had presented Bilbo with the Mithril vest not just as armor, but as a promise.
To the Company, it was obvious. They didn't feel the need to announce it because, to them, Bilbo had always been theirs. They simply forgot that the rest of the world hadn't been there for the journey.

On reflection, he really shouldn’t have put a vegetable of which he knew absolutely nothing in his food. Now here he is, lying on his back upon the dark forest floor, half-mad with need.
Or, Thorin catches Bilbo sneaking out in the middle of the night.
