Draco Malfoy manages to intercept Harry before he gets to the Room of Requirements for the diadem. Because of that, Voldemort wins, and rather than kill the Boy Who Lived he gifts him to Draco Malfoy for bringing his enemy to him. Slavery shackles that block magic are put on Harry to prevent him from escaping or using his magic and the disconnect from Harry's magic makes the Black Family estates defaults to Draco as the sole wizard left in the Black Family Line.
Enjoying his newfound power, Draco decides to break Harry in using the more traditional method of a house elf.

Yes, he had friends, a good job, and just finished his mastery in defense, but it was usually just him and his son all alone at night when everyone else had families and lives apart from them. When he learned by chance that he may actually have some living family, it should have been an easy decision to reach out to them. Unfortunately, nothing comes easily to Harry. Harry's biological father just had to be the most difficult person in the world to get a meeting to see, and the absolutely most suspicious when confronted with a paternity claim.
Tony Stark was very lonely. He and Pepper had recently broken up. His friends had betrayed him, and he was now forced to live with the very same people who had hurt him. He didn't think he could take one more blow and stay standing under it. Tony didn't have family; he didn't know what to do with family; too bad Tony's family wasn't sure what to do with him either, but they were going to give it a hell of a try anyway.
