Summary
Taking a single step had him tripping over his feet, balance wavering dangerously as he grabbed blindly for the wall. Before he could completely collapse Connor grabbed his arm to help steady him, hand accidentally grasping around the inflamed and tender cuts hidden beneath his sleeve and forcing an involuntary gasp from the detective as he quickly pulled away, crashing into the wall as he cradled his arm close, “Fucking hell plastic, what’d I say!”
Connor didn’t respond to his aggression, instead his eyes immediately fell to the retracted arm and the patch of blood that had seeped to the surface, “Detective, are you injured?”
Gavin cursed under his breath, with a heavy sigh. Of course he wasn’t going to be able to hide shit from the plastic prick.Bookmarked by OmegaMartEmployee

Summary
"Sumo, this better be worth it," he checked the alarm clock. 2:32 AM. "Fucking Christ." Hank stood up, and slowly made his way out the door, careful to not trip over the mess on his floor.
The Saint Bernard seemingly ran to the kitchen, whining softly, urging Hank to follow.
Hank picked up his pace a bit, the strange activity putting him on edge a bit. Hairs on his arm stood up as he entered the kitchen
What he saw wasn't an intruder, no, but an android curled in on himself by the cabinets. His LED was a golden yellow, flickering red every so often.
"Connor?"
—
Hank wakes up to a very persistent dog, and the night evolves into comforting an android he thinks of as a son.

Summary
“You only have one bullet,” Connor muses, eyebrows raising as high as they can go without disturbing the muzzle pressed between them. His volume lowers, the veneer of indifference beginning to splinter at the seams, but Hank can’t place the strain of it. “We could make it a game if you’d prefer.”
Hank is the one holding the gun, he is undoubtedly in control of this situation, yet he has rarely felt so utterly powerless as Connor smoothly raises his hand and with a quick flick of his wrist, sets the cylinder spinning.
After a couple of revolutions, Connor gingerly stops it with two fingers. He nudges it a single chamber down with a click.
“You go first.”

Summary
He wanted to call out of work. But he didn’t. He knew he would only add to the wounds if he stayed home.
Gavin had tried, really tried to put on a wide smile and not use his wrist much and wear a turtleneck at his desk. But the moment he saw Connor’s deep frown and angry eyes and clenched fist, walking quickly to Fowler’s office, he knew he was screwed.
“Detective Reed!” He heard Fowler call from across the room, quieting the entire office. Gavin slowly raised his eyes to the man. "My office. Now."
Letting out a long suffering sigh, he got up from his chair (leaning on his less wounded side) and walked methodically so as to not limp.
Or: Gavin is on a descent to self destruction that Connor refuses to witness.

Summary
Only a month after the success of the androids’ peaceful demonstration, a new problem has arisen. Three androids were murdered, in their own homes, by the same weapon.
A taser.
A taser that should not have been possible for a regular citizen to get their hands on.
Connor, a newly official detective at the DPD, has been assigned the case. But not with Lieutenant Anderson as his partner, no.
He has to work with Detective Gavin fucking Reed.

He tried to ignore the way Connor's breathing was shallow and quick, the way he clutched at the front of his jacket with trembling hands, or the way he flinched every time sounds that were near unheard to Gavin came from outside the cramp storage closet.
“What are your stress levels at?” Gavin asked after a while, watching Connor carefully as the other tried to unsuccessfully calm himself.
“Ninety-seven point four percent.”Bookmarked by CaineLiker (OmegaMartEmployee)

Summary
Connor's voice died out awkwardly, and his LED flickered as he wrung his hands together.
Gavin's jaw hung loose. "What. The. Actual. Fuck. What am I hearing? Is he high?!"
He frantically waved his hand in front of Connor's face, arching his eyebrows at Hank. "Can he even get high?"
Connor always talked like he had a fucking steel rod shoved up his ass. But this... this was new. And so bizarre.
~
A virus is causing random bugs among androids and somewhere in this mess, Gavin is tasked with following up on a kidnapping report. Well shit, right? It gets even worse, because Fowler sends him off with two glitching android coworkers. In the end, they all just roll with it.
OR: The day that makes Gavin rethink his view on androids — but obviously, just the tiniest bit if you asked him.

Summary
Humans, Connor realized, had a tendency to attach themselves to non-sentient objects. Officer Wilson and Officer Chen had taken the liberty of naming the copy machine with blocky, crooked felt stickers. They insisted to Connor that he refer to the machine as ‘The Titan’. Even Hank, who acted as if he was above the officers’ antics, called it by its assigned name.
They treated no other machine or android with this sense of care or humor.

Connor tries to understand the nuanced relationship between machines and the officers at DCPD.

“I told Detective Reed that if he was so adamant about referring to me exclusively under the name of a ‘robot’ in pop culture, he might as well put a little more thought into it.”
Hank can practically hear his train of thought, which had been steadily picking up steam, screech to a stop on the imaginary tracks.
“You said what?”
