Summary
“Would you come with me?” Simon asks quietly.
“Where?”
“Back out to sea.”
A sharp needle of pain zips up Johnny’s earlobe at his words. He winces, features pinching, but he doesn’t wrench himself away like he would have done before. Johnny lets Simon hold him, leans into the familiar chill of his fingers, hoping it’ll chase away the throbbing pain.
Johnny laughs through it. “I doubt yer captain would be all that welcomin’ of a siren aboard his Jolly Roger.”
The crease between Simon’s brows smooths out. “But if he was?”
Johnny smiles sadly, watching the way Simon’s eyes glint with that pirate greed. That hunger.
Simon is a fool. A sweet, kindhearted, gentle fool of a man and a shitty excuse for a pirate. The thought makes Johnny’s heart clench painfully in his chest.
“Aye,” Johnny says, meeting Simon’s eyes. “I would.”
OR: The countless times Johnny unknowingly aids a pirate captain, and one time he saves him.

Summary
It was quiet for less than thirty minutes before the sounds of the humans returned, this time an awkward scramble of many footsteps and nearly as many voices. They came into view only a moment later, and his eyes widened at the sight of the large blue tarp-thing hung between two poles being carried by more than a dozen humans, each straining under the obvious weight.
A massive caudal fin hung from one end of the tarp, but it had been so heavily wrapped in soaked towels to keep it from drying out that it was impossible to see in any real detail. It was also, Johnny noticed with sudden unease, completely, utterly limp.

Summary
Hidden from the world above, the different races of merfolk thrived within the ocean realm- that is, until the race of men appeared. When humans discovered that mythical creatures such as mermaids and mersharks were real, true flesh and blood beings that lived within the ocean depths, it sparked the wonder and amazement of millions. But the darker, greedier aspects of human nature soon emerged, and as time passed countless merfolk were captured or killed, hunted to near extinction.
Tucked away along the Scottish isles lived a tribe of Blacktip mersharks that managed to escape the negative impacts of man. Among those was a mershark who was quite different from the rest, one who, at times, had a propensity to let his curious, adventurous nature overrule his better judgment. A character trait that had nearly gotten Soap killed in his youth by the human hunters his kind so despised.
To his shock, he was also saved by the very creatures he was taught to hate and fear, and Soap was left with the astounding discovery that not all humans were bad. But... some merfolk would never be swayed, and as two worlds collided, Soap's loyalty to those he loved would be tested in ways he never imagined.

RK900 was designed to put a stop to deviancy, not through careful investigation, but through efficient killing. After being found at the bottom of CyberLife, RK900 is activated and the first person he sees is Gavin Reed. Unfortunately for the detective, part of RK900's programming is to obey the orders of the first human he laid eyes on and them alone. Summary
It was 8.30am, he hadn’t had a coffee yet and the sun falling in through the window blinded him in his left eye when he learned three things.
One: There were horrors beyond their imaginations out there. Precisely, in the hallway.
Two: They had been brought in as caregivers of sorts, meant to take responsibility for some weird, slimy tentacle monsters with shapeshifting and inhuman fighting abilities.
Three: This was not a joke and no, they were not allowed to back out, since they had signed a contract in which “animal handling” was listed under “expected duties”.As if this shit compared to a K9.

“Does it ever bother you?" Blazer asked. "That the public doesn’t know? I mean, most of us keep our identities secret, but that’s a pretty big part of yourself to hide from everyone.”
Robert swirled her drink a little as though she might find the truth written at the bottom of the glass. It felt right to give the question some thought instead of defaulting to her usual jokes and quips.
“Nah,” she said eventually, and knew that she meant it. “I am Mecha Man, and Mecha Man is me. Or at least he was, before he got Fourth of July’ed in the background of a TikTok dancing video. What a shitty way to go.”

Summary
But then he sees it.
The unmistakable sight of something staring at him – eyes positioned just above the water level.
Ghost blinks. He blames it on a hallucination – sleep deprivation playing tricks on his taxed mind. He knows this and still he doesn’t move. The water ripples around the thing, disturbed by its presence at the surface. He scrubs a hand over his face, a last minute attempt in waking his sorry arse up. By the time his hand falls away, the eyes are gone.
He doesn't get a minute of sleep that night.
---
Stationed at a remote base on the edge of the Norwegian Sea, Ghost assumes the worst he'll face is the bitter cold, isolation, and a shark or two. What he doesn't prepare for is something watching him from the docks, showing up again and again.
It's not human, but doesn't seem hostile and won't leave.
Ghost is starting to wonder if he even wants it to.

And Ghost certainly wasn't supposed to be bringing it back with him...
... with Ghost's half-demon bastard growing in its belly, if it was to be believed.
Ghost was going to make Price pay him double.

Summary
“Do you require constant validation, MacTavish?” The Prince’s voice remained perfectly level, but there was an edge beneath it now, sharp as a fresh-stropped razor.
Johnny stiffened. “Your Highness?”
“You speak as though your observations merit acknowledgment.” The Prince tilted his head slightly and the gesture was distinctly predatory. “I am not here to provide you with conversation. I am not here to offer companionship to a lonely guard or to soothe your apparent need for recognition.”
Heat crept up Johnny’s neck. “I was just being cordial, Your Highness.”
“I have no need for cordial.” The Prince held his gaze, unblinking. “I require competence and silence. If you cannot provide both, I shall request your replacement and spare us all the inconvenience.”
Johnny’s jaw clenched hard enough to make his teeth ache. He wanted to argue, wanted to point out that common courtesy wasn’t too much to ask, that treating people like furniture spoke poorly of any man regardless of birth or station.
He swallowed his pride, forced it down into his belly where they sat like stones, and made himself say: “Understood, Your Highness. Competent and silent.”

Summary
Gavin Reed is seriously over worked, and finding it hard to cope in these new integrated times. It's no secret he hasn't been the same for the last couple years. Angry, bitter, resentful and on the edge of a mental breakdown. He's struggling to cope as Connor takes it upon himself to knock his walls down and throw his comfortable belief system into question. How the hell is he supposed to do his job if he starts seeing these smashed up robots as people?
A chance encounter at Cyberlife leaves him with even more than he bargained for as he's forced to work with a new partner. Over time he slowly decides that maybe the RK900 isn't so bad. Anything more than that? Hell no. Not Gavin Reed. No way.
Meanwhile it seems an old adversary of Reed's has come back to haunt him. Or has he? That's what Perkins needs his help to find out as the FBI takes on an old serial case.
That doesn't mean Gavin isn't busy at the DPD. The revolution was no joke, allowing various sickos to crawl out of every corner. Gavin, Connor, Hank and Nines have their work cut out for them trying to keep on top of it all.
