After the explosion, Dr Robotnik learnt three things in quick succession:
1. A sufficiently large detonation combined with a sufficiently large amount of Chaos Energy creates a wormhole through which one can travel (or be sucked at the last second) to a parallel universe relatively safely.
2. Earth seemed to stay pretty consistent across most universes.
3. It appeared that, after a life of self-imposed seclusion in the manner of a gizmo-ridden, super-genius, hermetic monk, when it came down to brass tacks, Dr Robotnik was hard-pushed to tell the difference between most Earths.Dr Robotnik jumps through universes to try and get back home, confronting his feelings for Agent Stone along the way.

Again, Tommy knew he shouldn’t care. But he knew he’d never be able to live with himself if he did what Wilbur asked. This guy deserved a chance to live, even if he was undead. His chance at a normal human life had been stolen, and while Tommy couldn’t explain why, he felt like he had to make that up to him.
“Just… let me try to find you a blood source that doesn’t involve hurting people,” Tommy said, squeezing his shoulders. “Once we get that worked out, and you don’t have to worry about feeding, we can figure out where to go from there.”
The frustration slowly leaked out of Wilbur’s face, until the only thing left in the lines of his forehead was exhaustion. Not physical exhaustion, but something more. Something deeper.
“You’re the worst fucking vampire hunter I’ve ever met.”
aka the fic where Tommy's google search history is probably 'what do I do when the vampire I'm trying to kill is depressed as hell and I feel too bad to actually kill him?'

Summary
Tommyinnit leads one of the worst double lives in history. After his parents death Tommy was quick to take care of himself, and soon his close friend as well. He became a vigilante because he was never able to have the same opportunities considering his financial condition. So as a remedy he gets a grant based internship with a highly respected corporation. The very corporation that helps with any legal work that heroes face, meaning Tommy is surrounded by the people trying to catch him for the better part of most days. His biggest issue now is for them to never find out, and to do the occasional coffee run.

Everything was easy, until he glanced over and Slimecicle was looking right back at him, head tilted as his eyes followed the cigarette up to Quackity’s lips and then lingered there as he took a drag.
Quackity knew the other was watching the cigarette, and yet he could still feel his cheeks warm, the thought of the other not staring at the cigarette, but at him making him feel all kinds of things he did not know what to do with.
Because - sure, he’d felt these things before. Sapnap and Karl, and even Schlatt at some point, had all made him feel things.
Schlatt - for a short while - had made him feel wanted, had made him feel useful, had made him feel like he was enough, like he was getting what he deserved because he’d worked to deserve it.
Sapnap and Karl had always made him feel warm, as if he was the universe to them. They made him feel like everything would always be okay as long as the three of them stood together. They made things better when days were difficult.
But with Slime, it was all of that and, somehow, more.
