At least cartoons were pleasant to look at. She often got annoyed at how much the screenwriters seemed to be censoring themselves though. Like they were hyper-aware that they had an array of bad, nasty, scary, and complex topics they had to avoid at all costs. But Noodle’s life was full of the bad, nasty, scary and complex, so she always felt alienated. Like her being a child surrounded by all this was an anomaly that should be ignored. She was glad their own movie wasn’t going to be for children. How could it, though?

“WHAT, WHAT DID YOU-!” He gripped at his head, nearly toppling over, but too distracted to care. His fingers began to trace and grip at his once pristine white teeth of enamel, now a muted silvery metal and jagged and WRONG. What is this?! “WHAT DID YOU DO TO ME?!”
OR: Caine is brought back, but with some new features. His abilities are limited, and if they so desire, the humans have a way to shut him up. His teeth have been replaced with a zipper. Some use this for amusement, others as revenge, some only as necessary. The path it leads down is full of mis-steps, but they'll keep stumbling along together.

Pomni's words were playing though Caine's mind in an agonizing loop. In any other circumstances, he'd be able to erase that thought. Loan then to Bubble permanently, keep going on as intended.
But this was not his Bubble.
This was not his circus.
Yet, these were his humans.
They didn't remember him. They did not know he was an ai. They had just come back from the Candy Canyon Kingdom.
Why was this happening?
"You just! Don't! LISTEN!"
He could win their favor.
He could win their love, and affection.
He had to.
He had nothing left but this second chance.
And, ideally, he'd do it WITHOUT making himself a horrible, cruel monster that no one loved in the process.
"You just! Don't! LISTEN!"
... Fine.
If listening was what it took...
Then Caine would listen.
He would be the best at it.
