I also apologize if sometimes I refer to D&D spells or spells within the game wrong. Besides Baldur's Gate 3, I have never played D&D type games.

Summary
The Path is lonely and Geralt is starved for touch and affection. He goes to bed with the bard in Posada to scratch an itch, expecting the bard to want to do horrible, violent things to him like most people do when they have an indestructible beast kneeling for them.
Instead the bard calls him nice things and doesn't leave when he's taken his pleasure and starts following him around the continent. Geralt is confused, thinking that Jaskier must be hiding some ulterior motive and bloody appetites but somewhere along the way they become friends.
Convinced that Witchers are unlovable creatures Geralt fights a hard inner battle with himself only to be faced with the most horrifying reality just as he is ready to let his guard down around the bard - Jaskier was worse than anyone else he'd ever taken to bed.
(There will be a happy ending eventually but there will be a lot of hurt and anxiety to get there, this is NOT a happy story)
Completed work, safe to read unlike most of my other works haha

“I've… never really liked my name.” You admit with a shrug, rubbing your wrists awkwardly as you try to pretend that it doesn’t bother you. When clearly it does. You can’t help it, the name feels like a weight shackled to you, –a constant reminder that you aren’t really his family. You don’t see the point, no one ever calls you by name anyway.
He stares down at you for a moment, popping his jaw as he observes you, taking notice of your nervous behavior, before he smirks and nods down at you approvingly, letting out a low chuckle. “Alright…” He pauses, rubbing at his stubble to think. “Then, how about… Eli?”
“Eli?” You question, looking up at him with a hint of curiosity. You briefly wonder where he got the name, when suddenly it dawns on you. It's a name taken straight out of his deceased wife’s name, Lucille. As the name melts on your tongue, it fills you with a strange sense of satisfaction. It feels… meaningful, like in naming you this, he’s telling you that you are his family. Or at least something more to him than just another Savior. “Eli… I… I like it.” You say softly, a small smile spreading across your face.

The walker lurched through the decayed forest, its pale flesh oozing and dripping from its open wounds. It stumbled and fell repeatedly as its clumsy feet tripped up on the vines and twigs that littered the forest floor. Every so often, the walker would make an inhuman groaning sound, as if it were trying to communicate, but it was unable to form anything coherent through its rotted vocal cords. The walker continued its shambling journey through the forest when it suddenly froze below where Sophia was perched.
She held her breath sitting above a tree branch, inhaling sharp and quick breaths. Suddenly the walker looked up locking eyes and Sophia couldn't hold back the piercing screamed that was building up in her chest.V didn't remember how she got here. In a body so very similar to her own except very very dead. She knew however that she wasn't supposed to be here. And she definitely wasn't supposed to save little Sophia Peletier who was supposed to just be a character on TV.
