Aya fixed her gaze somewhere around her knee and tried to think of literally anything but for the press of Hardy’s shoulder against hers, so close and terribly warm. “I — yeah. Sort of. I-It’s just stuff like — like the chemical composition of Nidoran poison, and stuff…”
“…Err, and… and if they get it wrong?”
“Well, they get dumped in the acid vat. Like I said.”
Two things Aya still hasn’t figured out: what to do about her gym, and whatever she and Hardy are supposed to be.
