Its optical units recognized colors in the sky in addition to gray. Light and faint tones between pink and dark blue were also present.
His processors informed him that apparently the color aesthetic could represent the "afternoon" in the garden...Although it felt darker than anything else, almost melancholic.

The rain comes quickly.
The earth begins to wash.
Drops in tune.
And the wind was calm
It even seems to tell me that the world is not...The rain has always been there for them.
So much anguish, so much happiness, and maybe in a neutral place, maybe a thunderstorm full of lightning before a quiet rain that was yet to come.
So much for Connor, For Kara and Markus.
These stories in this series can be read separately, there is really no connection between them.

It really, truly, genuinely has been a long-ass day. Tony’s good at board meetings and show ponying like his life depends on it, but—as everyone but especially Pepper knows—he would literally rather be doing anything else with his time.
Unfortunately, some things are serious and pressing enough to need his attention, namely because they have to do with the company’s image. Seeing as Tony is the company’s image, involvement simply makes sense.
Eight hours of meetings, hour one being the resolution that they absolutely need a good lawyer to take point on their ADA compliance and unfortunate lack thereof in many spaces, and yet no lawyers had shown up, nor had anyone even given Tony a name so he could run one of his own private background checks.
He had called for everyone to break for ten, that way he can drink coffee and contemplate his life choices before he’s dragged back into the thick of everything else, too.

Pomni's words were playing though Caine's mind in an agonizing loop. In any other circumstances, he'd be able to erase that thought. Loan then to Bubble permanently, keep going on as intended.
But this was not his Bubble.
This was not his circus.
Yet, these were his humans.
They didn't remember him. They did not know he was an ai. They had just come back from the Candy Canyon Kingdom.
Why was this happening?
"You just! Don't! LISTEN!"
He could win their favor.
He could win their love, and affection.
He had to.
He had nothing left but this second chance.
And, ideally, he'd do it WITHOUT making himself a horrible, cruel monster that no one loved in the process.
