After the tuna melt incident, after he ran out on Ilya, after Rose, Shane is determined on righting his wrong and winning back his man. But a catastrophic and nearly fatal accident on the ice threatens to put a pin in Shane’s plans indefinitely.
While in a coma Shane finds himself confronted with the question, what if he didn’t run out on Ilya that day? What if he stayed?
What follows is basically a speed run through years of uncertainty and miscommunication in which Ilya and Shane end up exactly where they’re supposed to be – together (only months maybe years ahead of time).
Includes a lot of (inaccurate) medical stuff, Yuna and David being supportive parents, Hayden and JJ being supportive friends, co-inhabitation and this time when his father dies, Ilya isn’t alone left to grieve or to pick up the pieces by himself. This time he has Shane and the Hollanders.
