Summary
Yicheng is almost out of sight behind him when something tumbles out of his sleeve. It's the night-sky obsidian he'd found years ago on his way into the city. A sad smile appears on his face as he bends down to pick it up. Things had been so much simpler back then. Yes, his heart had ached then as well, but it had been a different kind of ache: a dull throbbing in the back of his mind, compared to the chronic fatigue that now wracks his entire body.
Song Lan sighs and vaguely wonders if he could go back to a time where he still had hope. The obsidian shimmers brightly, as if it had understood his question.

“Me Grimlock crush enemies,” he rumbles, “but Starscream not worth effort.”
Starscream gawks. He doesn't know if he's more offended or relieved.
“Excuse me?”
“Pathetic. Small. Weak.” Grimlock shakes his helm dismissively, tail thudding against the dirt like a gavel. “Not challenge. Not fun.”
Starscream bristles, indignant despite the situation.
“‘Not fun’? I’ll have you know-”
“Quiet.” Grimlock growls, turning away. His tail knocks a tree over. He doesn't seem to notice. “Stay out of Grimlock’s way. Or next time, Starscream not be so lucky.”

Starscream crash lands on Dinobot Island. The only way he's going to survive long enough to get off the Primus-forsaken rock is to somehow convince an apex predator to protect him.

Summary
A space bridge accident strands both Optimus Prime and Starscream on an unknown planet, filled with mechanical monsters. Once Starscream decides that immediately stabbing Optimus in the back is a bad idea, the two form an uneasy alliance. Just until they can get off this hostile world.
But cooperation breeds grudging appreciation (and even more grudging attraction). Each uncovered secret on this mystery world brings them closer to returning to endless war. Can they keep fighting as if nothing has changed? Or will they take the chance for something new?

Summary
Branded as a terrorist of Cybertron and sentenced to death for trying to uncover the truth about her Titan, Windblade finds that her only savior is the one who had been set to kill her; the so-called Sparkcracker, a mech who was condemned and twisted into a machine made to slaughter people like her in the worst way imaginable. Her scheduled execution goes wrong, and she escapes with the Sparkcracker into Cybertron's winter night. When she discovers his true identity— that of Starscream, the fallen prince of Vos— she realises that he is her only hope for rescuing her friends, stopping Rattrap and his mysterious plans for Metroplex, and returning home in one piece.
Home, however, is not as perfect as it once seemed. While Windblade forges new alliances and attempts to keep herself going for the sake of Starscream and her fellow Camiens, the Mistress of Flame prepares to make her move against Cybertron, knowing that Chancellor Rattrap will respond in kind. An intricate dance of politics and greed is carrying itself across the galactic stage while the Camiens and their few allies stumble to stay alive... because Windblade's execution was meant to start a war; a war that would see only one world surviving.
