Summary
Harry Styles is an 18-year-old music student trying to survive. At home in Manchester, he lives with a violent, homophobic father who treats him differently whenever his mother and sister are out. Deeply depressed and closeted, Harry copes through self-harm, reckless partying, and music. The only peace he finds is at university: in the pool, where he’s joined the swimming team to stay away from home as much as possible, and with his best friend Niall.
Louis Tomlinson is a 19-year-old energetic, cheeky business student and star striker on the university football team. He lives in a loud, loving (if chaotic) household with his mum, stepdad, and four younger sisters. Outgoing and fiercely caring, Louis is the type to make everyone laugh while quietly looking out for them.
When Harry finishes swimming practice and Louis is heading in for football, their eyes meet in the locker room for the first time. The two of them ended up interacting and entering each other's world. As Louis gets closer to Harry, he begins to realize that the quiet, beautiful boy with the bracelets and sad eyes is carrying far more pain than he lets anyone see.

Summary
Niall used to live alone in a large flat, which is flat 28th, but halfway through his first year at uni, he invited his friends Louis, Liam, and Zayn to move in. Each had their own reasons for leaving the dorms: Zayn had a noisy roommate, Liam had a lazy one, and Louis had nothing but loneliness without a roommate. They settled into an easy routine as they arrived in the flat, Niall cooked, Zayn shopped, Liam cleaned, and Louis mostly did his own thing, spending time on the balcony smoking, or working on his psychology course in his bedroom.
The following year, Niall’s old friend Harry Styles joined the flat. Studying music and arts, Harry quickly fit into the routine, cooking, cleaning, shopping with Zayn, but also pushed Louis to help with chores, which Louis resented. While Louis missed his previous freedom, the others appreciated Harry as he was such a help for their routine.

Summary
“How’d you do it?” Louis asked, eyelashes fluttering against the glare of the sun.
“Hmmm?” Harry hummed, one brow lifting.
Louis’ cheeks flushed, a soft, telling crimson.
“How’d you manage to break down my walls? I never…” He faltered, his smile dimming just slightly as his lips pursed. “Don’t think they ever stood a chance against you.”
Harry blinked — once, twice — letting the words settle.
“Maybe,” he said slowly, “I didn’t break anything down. Maybe you just found someone you wanted to open the gates for.”

What does life have in store for Harry's first year at Uni?
Apparently quite a bit of things.
From late night studies to hours spent in the library was something Harry envisaged himself doing. Just what Harry didn't expect was how much his life is about to change when he meets a certain boy at a party he doesn't even want to be at.
