Jason wasn’t used to strange mers in his space. This only partially had to do with being the biggest and meanest mer in his territory. It mostly had to do with his territory being so toxic even the King of Atlantis could barely tolerate it. He wished he could say it was surprising when a mer showed up from the city, but Gotham was a hell scape rife with trafficking of all things, including people.
This new mer didn’t die though, and that sparked Jason’s interest.

Danny should really let Sam, Tucker, and Jazz know he's okay. They know he's in Gotham and he's definitely missed one check in.On the other fin, the hot new mer that just boned him stupid is going to give him a meal and possibly more incredible sex.
Eh, it'll be fine. He'll get back in cell range when he wakes up.

The family was falling apart. For nearly three months Dick had watched as guilt and desperation tore into his family as they searched for their missing member. Unable to determine if Jason had run away, been taken, or worse, one thing was clear: they weren't going to find him like this. They needed help, both for him and for themselves.

Bruce is wrong, he has to be. Jason isn't a Red Lantern. Dick won't believe it, not without some actual proof. But with Bruce's claim having such a negative effect on the family it's only a matter of time before their enemies notice them falling apart. Dick doesn't know what to do, not about the family, or Jason, or even this inferno that's burning through his head.
Someone is going to get hurt because of this, and Dick doesn't know how to stop it. -

“Buck, what's going on?” A boy emerged from the hallway, wearing red pajamas covered in multicolored books, and wiping his eyes like he'd just woken up. “What was that noise?”
Jason gasped when the boy pulled his hands from his face.
It was him. Little him. Tiny him.
He blinked but the kid was still there. This couldn’t be real — it had to be some type of dying dream. A hallucination, or coma.
“Buck?” Little him asked again, voice wobbling as his eyes darted between the two of them. “Is that me?”
Jason decided that this was a good time to pass out.
