Really, in retrospect, Armin should’ve known something would come from the plan-- it had been something that the group had hatched the year before going into high school, obsessed over for months, meticulously planning every last detail. Armin had nearly forgotten about that red notebook from four years ago until he received a somewhat ominous text from Eren, which simply read:
it’s still on, will pick you guys up on monday.——
After a hellish experience in track, 11 kids are forced together and become close friends. Of course, nothing good lasts. Years later, directly after graduation, the road trip to the ocean they had planned back then (and a lot of repressed feelings) push them together once again.
