For Shane, birthdays were never a big deal. He mostly spent his time focusing on hockey until Ilya skated into his life and showed him that it was okay to take a break and enjoy himself. At the birthday dinner, Ilya brought out a gift that left Shane feeling as though he was the luckiest man on the planet. Shane knew he had to give Ilya something in return.
