Summary
Aziraphale’s lips parted, and the look of blatant shock on his angel’s face— visible for only the barest of moments before he steeled himself back to stony anger— made Crowley’s heart twist miserably. Never again, he vowed. Never again would Aziraphale go on thinking he ought to apologize for every fight they ever had, whereas Crowley’s temper was excused without exception. Aziraphale’s forgiveness would never be taken advantage of again. He’d sleep naked on consecrated grounds before he did it again.

Crowley reflects on his relationship with Aziraphale, their last conversation, and how to make things right. He finds Aziraphale, ready to take accountability, and the two finally communicate as they take the next step how they always wanted to: Together.

After overpowering a rogue Archangel Michael, Aziraphale and Crowley intercept what remains of the Book of Life. Aziraphale finds the page on Time and, with the memories of the universe contained in Michael’s halo and Crowley’s crank, begins to turn back time. It works! Pages fly out of the Eternal Flame back into the Book and reappear in reality, restoring the universe!
But Aziraphale doesn’t stop. He can’t stop. He just keeps turning, determined to save everything. Including “Us.”
Can Crowley stop Aziraphale before he goes too far and attempts to change the past? Or will he, too, succumb to temptation to undo the Final Fifteen Minutes?

Aziraphale smiled, and pressed a gentle kiss to Crowley’s forehead. “Sit up for me, love?”
Crowley obeyed. A pleasant tingle shivered up Aziraphale’s spine, as he watched Crowley obey the suggestion. While the ‘going into subspace’ ritual was mostly for Crowley, Aziraphale would be lying if he denied getting a certain thrill out of his side of this arrangement. He got to cater to his beloved’s desires, to take care of him, make him feel warm and safe and cherished and loved, in such an intense and all-encompassing way.
If this ritual provided Crowley with safety, it also provided Aziraphale with the opportunity to be a guardian, the way he’d always longed to be.
