Summary
Remus isn’t fully feeling up to beach day with his friends, but hey - what can go wrong on a day filled with sunshine, games of Uno, and a picnic basket full of egg and cress sandwiches?
Rather a lot, it turns out.
But maybe one seemingly random attack by a seemingly random seagull and a chance meeting with a handsome barista are all he needs to turn things around.
Who’s to say which seagull attacks are chance, and which will serve as wake-up calls?

Summary
It wasn’t until the sky burned in the fevered orange of the setting sun that Remus Lupin felt alive. Throughout his day, he moved slow and careful, half conscious with his eyes half open, auto-piloting his feet across the earth and sighing his way through conversations.
But at night, he lived.- - - - -
Remus Lupin could confess things in the dark that he couldn’t even allow himself to think about in the light. Things like 'sometimes I don’t think I’m real' and 'I’m terrified to talk because I don’t know who would listen' and 'I’m not sure how to act like a person'.
But the stars didn’t judge. Constellations were kind. And the moon only ever cared.- - - - -
Above him, the sky danced.
And Remus let out a gut-wrenching, throat aching, heart breaking scream.
He wasn’t sure why, and it was over as soon as it started.
The night absorbed his sorrow and the stars responded in soft twinkles, the moon in silver, calming light. He collapsed into the cool grass.
And Remus Lupin felt alive.Bookmarked by Limesgermanicus

Summary
All he'd wanted was some time. Just a bit of time to get his head back on straight. But time had turned into two dead friends, twelve months spent in Azkaban that had felt like years, and a head more damaged than when he'd started.
Blinded by distrust and grief, Sirius had turned his back on Remus, thinking it would cost him nothing while it had cost him everything. Now, five years later, drowning in his own fog of terrible days and worse actions, Sirius stands a small chance of gaining back some of what he's lost in the form of his godson once thought gone. The only thing that stands in his way is the man currently raising Harry; the man Sirius cast out of his life like broken shards of glass. Remus doesn't trust Sirius, but Sirius is determined to claw his way back and mend what once was broken by his own foolish hands.
