Summary
Alexander Lightwood is a messy, confused teenager. Rebellious against his parents and pissed off against the whole world, he ends unintentionally causing his little brother's death. The family is torn apart by grief and Alexander, guilt gnawing at him, runs away from home, disappearing without a trace. After a few years, he's working as a truck driver, living a lonely life through endless roads and cheap motels, avoiding people as much as he can and keeping his past in the shadows.
Magnus Bane is the spoiled son of a rich couple. Living a meaningless life through parties and wealth, he believes he found love with the beautiful, sexy Mrs. Camille Belcourt, a gold-digger who's already married. When their affair is going to become of public knowledge and threaten her position, though, Camille breaks up with him. To dull his pain, Magnus falls in the pit of alcoholism, ending in a rehab. Once clean, he decides to go on a trip on his own, trying to forget his past and find a reason to live.
They meet and love happens, timid, painful, just whispered. Will they get a future together?
