Summary
After excaping the GIW, Danny's two halves are fused together into one. Solomon Grundy happens to find him floating in the sewers and declares the ghostling his own. Except, Grundy isn't the greatest at being a parent, but thank god Batman's there to help.
Danny's just going through it, and thinks sewer life is his future. Batfam and even Grundy want better for him though, and try to coax him out like a stray cat.

Tim Drake lived a perfectly happy life at Drake Manor, his parents weren't home often but that suited Tim just fine. He was enrolled in the best school in the country, had great friends and as soon as his Affiliation settled he was set to be one of the most powerful magic users in Gotham, if not North America.
At least all of that was true a month ago. Now Tim has been removed by Child Protective Services after a disastrous presentation and forced to live with his next door neighbours, the Wayne family. He's pretty sure Damian wants to kill him, Jason wants to throw him off Wayne Manor's highest point and Dick wants to cuddle him to death but at least Bruce is helping him get his magic under control. As soon as he can figure out how to get the charges against his family dropped, everything will be fine.

Summary
The squiggle on July 19th resolves into Dick’s hasty scrawl: “Tim’s bday!!!”
Shit. Tim almost drops the mugs.
It’s pretty clear, between the number of exclamation points in the calendar note and the fact that none of the Bats are scheduled to patrol that night, that Dick is planning a surprise birthday party for Tim.
Tim very vehemently does not want a surprise birthday party. Parties, presents, and being the center of attention are all at the bottom of Tim's birthday ranking spreadsheet. Tim's birthdays aren't supposed to be celebrated by other people!
Tim grimly puts the mugs in the sink and mentally rearranges some of his morning meetings. Tim only has 6 days to figure out how to save his birthday from disaster.

After the Quagmires are taken by Count Olaf from Prufrock Preparatory School, the Baudelaires are sent to live with their mother's friend and his wife in a new city. The Squalors, for as obsessed with what is in and what is out as they are, seem like decent people. Gotham can't be that bad, at least compared to what they've already faced. Perhaps it will be the perfect spot to find the Quagmires, settle down, and truly start a new life.
AU where the Baudelaires end up in Gotham and, by extension, find a competent family who helps them solve the mysteries of VFD and locate their friends. Very self-indulgent and inspired by my three am thought: there is no way any of the bats would pass up adopting the Baudelaires.

Dick laughs somewhat frantically. He throws an arm over Damian's shoulders to ruffle his hair. Lu gives them an amused look over her shoulder as they follow her down the aisle. "What he means to say is Shadow is kind of an unique case. He's the kind of dog only Gotham can breed."
