Summary
It's been over five years since Voldemort's defeat when Harry Potter gets pushed through a portal and falls into the Great Hall of Hogwarts. This wouldn't be a problem, exactly, except it's his parents' Hogwarts instead of his own. Thankfully, Hermione and Ron aren't about to let him face this newest form of trouble by himself. Even more fortunately, Hermione says they're in a different dimension entirely.
Harry has a castle full of living ghosts, his best friends by his side, and three to six months to make just a few changes. Starting with a snake.

The day after the Battle of Hogwarts, things get bad around Harry again. The acting imperiused Minister died, former edicts still stand. Harry gets put through a trial for his deeds during the time he was public enemy No. 1 and is allowed to choose his fate.
Thoroughly fed up with the Wizarding World and having read in the Black Library that the Veil doesn’t actually lead to death, but to a judgement of Lady Magic, he chooses to go through with Option Three and - after some preparation - follow Sirius through the veil on the two-year anniversary of that occurrance.
Hermione is NOT. WILLING. to let him leave all by himself and networks hard to allow a bunch of other people who want or need to leave Wizarding Britain to join him hidden in Harry’s approved take-on luggage.Middle Earth is never going to be the same again.

Summary

Gryffindors as a whole do come off a bit worse, of course, but that’s what you get for not getting the Boy-Who-Lived in your house...
