Summary
The stress of fighting Yoda, so soon after being grievously wounded fighting Mace Windu, causes Palpatine to die shortly after Yoda retreats from their battle in the Senate Chamber. Without him, Anakin dies on Mustafar from his wounds, and thus dies Palpatine's plans for the Galaxy.
In which we explore the galactic consequences of Palpatine dying after Order 66 went off but before he could truly solidify the Empire into being. For the Light might be returning to the galaxy, but that isn't the same thing as peace returning.
