The room is too bright.
It’s quaint, in a nauseating sort of way. Polished floors glint from the gleaming honeycomb chandeliers overhead, make him squint. A few vases sprinkled here and there, filling the room with a sickeningly sweet scent – even a waffle-cone headrest framing the silken sheets of a neatly-tucked bed. Outside, the golden sun gleams, the gentle rays of light spilling past curtains that waver in the afternoon breeze.
It's meant to be beautiful. Luxurious. Welcoming.

Jambound is a wonderfully written fic, and as Jamma tends to do with every fic they write it provides an amazing and stunning analysis on Shadow Milk Cookie and Pure Vanilla Cookies characters and their relationship.
I must say that this is one of the only fan fictions, if not one of the only pieces of literature, that has affected my life to this degree. It is beautiful and I am likely to hold it dear for years to come. It's affect on my brain chemistry is only countered by old dsmp fics <3

Though I know some people take issue with the characterization in this fic, I still found it a very enjoyable read. The slow burn was still, in my opinion, very fulfilling and I enjoyed reading this.
Although I feel it is important to note that this fic does focus on Chuuya angst a good bit, both of them do get a their share of suffering both but a lot of the angst follows Chuuya which leads to a lack of angst centered on Dazai. So take that into consideration before reading :]
