Summary
Dani shrugs, seeming utterly unfazed. “It does not have to mean anything.”
Colin readies himself to fire back another retort, but then he thinks about that. He thinks about Isaac pressing him for details in the morning. He thinks about pretending to flirt with girls at clubs so that no one else on the team suspects anything. And he thinks about how, if he does this with Dani, something casual and meaningless, then at least he can have someone steady and dependable to count on. Trustworthy.
“I mean, you look at me in the showers,” Dani says. “And you are very handsome yourself. So…”
alternatively, colin and dani try a friends-with-benefits situation. predictably, it does not end well.

Summary
Drew’s been told that she’s lucky that she’s just a daughter of Aphrodite because monsters aren’t as hungry for her. She doesn’t point out that Castor’s skull was cracked open by an enemy demigod. She doesn’t point out that someone at camp has been spoon-feeding Kronos information.
Monster is a relative term.
