When Batman and Robin find her, standing alone on a rooftop, they can't help but want to help the poor girl. They take her home and Robin is faced with the surprising urge to take the girl under his wing.
(Basically, Damian sees Marinette, and abandoned child, and goes, yeah, that one's mine. And steals her.)

Phantom Pains
“The pain of feeling something that is missing”–
Even before Danny died, she felt like something was missing. It was like her soul knew she wasn’t complete. She wasn’t where she was meant to be.
The day she found out it might be more than a feeling was the day her old life had died.
Now, with nothing more than a name and a city to go off of, Danny flees to Gotham, New Jersey.
But how is she supposed to find answers with all these wannabe furries running causing messes that she has to clean up?And why does that Detective keep looking at her like he’s seen a ghost? (pun unintended)

Summary
The students of Gotham Academy were confused. It was International Friendship Week, and it was Gotham’s turn to host. Except no one wanted Gotham to host, not even Gotham! So the Directors of the Friendship Conference decided that it was in everybody’s best interest to skip the City of Crime and go straight to the City of Lights. Everyone thought that it was the perfect idea! Except for Paris. The Gothamites couldn’t help but laugh and scoff at the Parisians insistence that Gotham would be a much safer place than Paris, and nothing should change. And everyone, even one Damian Wayne, was thrilled when the petition went through, and they boarded the plane for Paris.
And then…a giant baby…tried to eat the Eiffel Tower…they should have stayed in Gotham. -
Summary
After his families deaths, Danny moved to Jump City. Under Vlad's allowance, he has lived there for over a year in peace. It's a normal life. Danny owns a Bookstore and the ghosts are no where in sight, for good reason, of course. But all changes once Danny forcibly meets the Teen Titans and chooses to help them. Suddenly, he's confronted with the task of moving on, or being left behind. Can Danny break free of his chains? Or will he bring ruin to himself and the Teen Titans?.
