Chris wanted to reach out and wipe the tears from Piers’ cheek, but his limbs were far too heavy. He was truly going to die this time. Piers knew it, too. “I… love you.”
His vision blurred as his eyes drooped. Piers was speaking to him, almost yelling, but he could no longer make out the words. He was tired, so incredibly tired, and he knew that it was his time to rest. After a lifetime of fighting, it was over.
These teeth remember. There is evil in.
