Summary
You grow into the person who would’ve protected you as a child.
Alfred finds himself left with a little boy to care for. Not just any boy, but a Wayne, destined for greatness like his parents. He does his best to raise him, and it hurts his heart - really it does - but sometimes that means discipline.
Bruce knows he’s not good. Well aware that he deserved what Alfred gave him when he was a child. But now that he has children of his own, Bruce can’t fathom disciplining them like he was. That doesn’t mean Alfred was wrong to inflict those punishments on Bruce. Bruce deserved it. Just not his kids.
Never his kids.

Summary
“The Red Hood has been good for Gotham,” Robin continued. “Crime in Park Row decreased by sixty one percent almost as soon as you showed up, and that’s even taking into account all the crime you commit. Drug overdoses have decreased by twenty two percent in adults and seventy nine percent in minors. Homeless minors are ninety two percent less likely to—”
“Kid,” Jason interrupted. “Enough statistics. What the hell is this about?”
Robin slowly lowered the tablet with his powerpoint presentation and looked up at Red Hood.
“You care about Gotham,” Robin summarised. “Gotham needs Batman. Batman is missing and so is Nightwing. We need you to fill in for Batman.”
“You want me to cover Batman’s patrols?” Jason clarified.
“No,” Robin said. “I want you to be Batman.”
Jason bluescreened.
(Or: Batman and Nightwing mysteriously disappear before Red Hood has even started antagonising them, Robin is desperate, Gotham needs Batman, and Red Hood is Batman-Shaped.)

Summary
Joseph, deputy sheriff, has Dutch Van Der Linde locked in a cell, awaiting trial. He's read some terrible things about the outlaw and his sinful, homisexual ways....and maybe he likes what he's read, although he would never admit to it... But once Hosea turns up to rescue Dutch, the outlaws decide to put on a show for Joseph, one that he will never forget, and show him that he may just be a sinner too.
Young Vandermatthews filth.

Summary
Jason Todd is really good at his job. He's not so good at... well... being good.
Instead of surviving on the streets, Jason finds himself trafficked to Two-Face's gang, where his small size and breaking and entering skills keep him valuable. Three years later, with all his escape attempts frustrated and his future looking bleak, Jason is hand-picked for a suicide mission into Cadmus. Jason could maybe figure out a way out if it were just him. Maybe. But now Batman is shot and cuffed in his cell, and things just got much more complicated.
TLDR: Jason Todd is a twelve-year-old criminal genius, which leads to him getting adopted last of the Wayne brood.
