“Could you do it again, please?”
Aziraphale stood in the bookshop’s back room, wringing his hands nervously, his voice barely above a whisper.
“Hmm?” Crowley asked, turning to face him fully.
“The thing, you know…” Aziraphale gestured vaguely behind him, “that you did here before I left for Heaven.”
Suddenly, the memory of the rough fabric of lapels under his fingers and Aziraphale’s plush lips against his own flooded Crowley’s brain, all the air in the room suddenly feeling too thin.
“Though perhaps more gently this time, if you please."
