"You seem so free." Pomni looks up at him with longing, round eyes. Jax steps off the balcony and moves towards her.
"You can be too."
A new player comes to The Amazing Digital Kingdom, a medieval VR game. Pomni is confused by this new world, but a dark forest, group of rebels, and mysterious purple rabbit always lurking in the shadows draw her attention. She feels herself being pulled into his world, unable to keep herself away from the dangers that live there.

Kinger made Caine. Kinger loved Queenie. So of course, Caine had to love her too; the creator's obsession bleeding into the creation, inevitable as code.

Summary
After Pomni tells the rest of the cast that Jax hasn't been doing well since the last adventure, they try to make him feel more included, much to his annoyance. So, why not show them that he's perfectly fine by giving them all a little scare with a new prank he's been cooking up?
Sure, they may be accusing him of going too far and they're all acting like he doesn't exist, but who cares!? At least they stopped pestering him.
So why is he suddenly feeling even more lonely than before?

What were the stages of grief again?
Denial, Jax remembers. He knows that one. It’s the first on the list, the one that clues people in that it’s developing grief in the first place. Not that he’s grieving. That was silly. And a straight up delusional take on his situation. He doesn’t grieve.
Cartoonish purple rabbits don’t grieve.
The dead can’t speak, the guilty don’t deserve to. Pomni has Thoughts™ and makes it Jax’s whole problem.

Summary
Caine, in his ever-enveloping wisdom, decides to stick the six in a hotel that definitely wasn't based on a pre-existing novel and it's pre-existing film adaptation. Cabin fever and ghost sightings are common, and it's only a matter of time before one of them snaps under the pressure. My money's on Jax.
2026 update: major re-edit, fixing typos and grammatical stuff, nothing too fancy. I'm proud of this so I want to make it as good as I can make it.
