    Dante lets his chair drop back in place. "Got any bright ideas how we're gonna do that? It's Vergil— this is how he's always been, how it's always gonna be with him. He's not gonna change"
    It's about as pointless as trying to put a leash on an animal once it's already roaming wild. Would be plain cruel at that point.
    "You didn't even try", Nero says bitterly.
    Dante sighs so solemnly that his shoulders fall. "Kid, I've been trying for forty years"

    After their return from Hell, a turbulent attempt at coexistence drives the twins apart. Vergil drifts, and Dante spirals.

But when the twins make it back, sorting out their goals ends up being not nearly as easy as they had hoped, and Nero is desperately fighting himself and his family, as he’s unwillingly getting dragged into another demonic mess.
