Bloody Mary comfort because I'm sad so just add it to the hundreds of other fanfics with the same premise. First chapter is just introduction and then the others will be the little scenes of them that jingle in my head like loose change. I really want Grace to realize all his years he has never given himself the opportunity to heal until he and Simon realize they can heal together. Healing and fluff. And Simon thinks Grace is an angel in the beginning because I love that trope.

Dabi couldn't really put a finger on what intrigued him so much in the Number 2 Hero.
At first, he thought it was only because everything in him screamed fake. His smile, his attitude, his cockiness. Maybe he was able to fool everyone, but Dabi was an expert in the whole faux-semblant thing. Lying was second nature to him, etched in his bone marrow, running in his blood. So, it was just obvious to him that Hawks was the epitome of fakeness.
Initially, he just didn't really care. So what? The man's a liar. But, which hero was not? (Endeavor was definitely the worst of them all.)

Someone targeting the Commission isn’t anything new, with them being such a large pillar in society that promotes Heroes; occasionally, they have to replace the windows or lawn if an attack is bad enough. Maybe hire a few staff members to replace lower-ranking employees who did nothing but show up to work that day. A building can be rebuilt, new people hired, and money had never been an issue to the HPSC with all of the public support it gets. But this isn’t that, it isn’t just a matter of replacing some glass or buying new trees- the Commission is currently more like an active demolition zone than a proud government building.
This isn’t just a targeted attack, it's angry- furious even, a wrath proven right and twice as deadly for it. This attack is a message.

Oh, how he wishes he could have chosen.
In a world where you're either overlooked or exploited for your quirk, Hawks would love nothing more than to be invisible. To disappear from the fame, from the eyes, from the responsibilities that he never asked for when his parents gave him away to the Commission, from the pain.
Though pain makes itself known eventually, whether you invite it to or not.
But really, sitting on the floor of the League of Villains, thinking like a child just to cope, was not how Hawks envisioned the pain showing up.
OR
A lil fic of mine about how the Commission really treated its best "heroes" and the coping mechanisms, good or bad, that one particular hero derived from it. Add in some projection, a bit of fluff between the hurt, and, suddenly, it's a fic.

He flips the page devouring word after word, report after report, his heart beginning to pound as adrenaline starts to surge anew. This can’t be right, this can’t be real. The more he reads the faster his breathing starts to become.
Dabi slowly crouches down in front of him, trying not to startle the hero as he watches him tumble down down down from the pedestal he’s been perched so precariously upon.
Hawks wets his lips, his voice barely above a whisper, and so so hollow when he asks, “What happens now?”
Dabi’s head tilts like a birds at the question.
“To start, you could die for me.”OR
Dabi fakes Hawks death to give Keigo the chance to live a life of freedom. Now all he has to do is coax the abused hero into presenting so he isn't a ticking time bomb waiting to be set off if the Commission discovers he's alive.

Summary
When Hawks presented as an Omega, he was force-bonded to a Commission Alpha to mask his scent and pass him off as a Beta. He quickly rose in the ranks and was eventually assigned the critical mission of infiltrating the League of Villains, which led him to Dabi.
Dabi had been in love with Hawks since they were kids. He knew it was dangerous to keep the hero around, but his inner Prime Alpha just wouldn't let him go. He hadn’t even known Hawks was an Omega, let alone a bonded one, so when he killed a corrupt Commission Alpha, and Hawks started dying, too, Dabi panicked and bonded the Omega in hopes that overwriting the bond would save his life.
In the aftermath, they're stuck navigating a haphazard bond built on a relationship that has never been anything but turbulent. It's rocky, but a worthwhile endeavor, and they're determined to make it work.
