Akechi was a wild sea. Crashing waves against cliffsides and riptides dragging people out into the mess of his sea. His tides would rise and wash over Akira; flood his lungs with thick salt; drown him; one fathom at a time. And just as Akira would be settling into the viscous waters, the tides would recede once more and leave him drenched, coughing up water and freezing and desperate for the familiarity of rough waters.
Or, Akira is stuck in a cycle of forgetting and remembering.
