Summary
Whisper a dangerous secret to someone you care about.... Now they have the power to destroy you.....But they won't.... This is what love is.
To desire the most alien of aliens is not looked upon favorably by humans. To long for tentacles and scales and excessive amounts of eyes and razor tipped teeth is seen as a demeaning disgusting fetish.(Though interestingly enough, not usually by the creatures who are the focus of these desires.)
So Julian ignores his preferences, and carefully avoids involving himself with anyone a bit too alien. Even the enigmatic and ever so beautifuly scaled, and rigged, and clawed Cardassian who was obviously hitting on him. Until he sees Garak in a very inhuman and slightly compromising state, and for the first time in his life let's himself have a taste of the strange wonders he's denied himself. What follows is confusion and philosophy and misunderstandings, and secrets and terrible Cardassian epics, and questioning his entire life....well maybe not his entire life, but at least a good 40% of it.
Meanwhile, Garak is planning their enjoinment, and debating if he's fallen quite far enough in his life to have the reception at Quark's.

Summary
The sweltering heat would have been clue enough, all else aside, that the ship they boarded was no human one. That, and the strange, lingering echo of their footsteps, too loud and too hard, sketching out a ceiling far taller and broader than needed to accommodate a human frame. Lan was struck, once again, by what a foreign place his new home was to be.
Here there be dragons, he mused to himself, on the teetering edge of hysteria.
"You were always fated to perish to dragonfire," came the answering whisper in his mind, immediate and unwelcome as a recoil.

Summary
The last thing Orion had expected when he'd taken up a position as a mechanic on Bravo 13 was for it to malfunction and him to only narrowly get away in a dingy little escape pod. Luckily, the thing somehow manages to survive crashlanding into an alien ocean. Not so luckily, he's now stuck floating in said alien ocean. Alone.... Except, well, he soon discovers the latter might not be entirely true.
Alternative blurb: A guide to what not to do if you crashland on an alien planet
