Months ago, Jiang Cheng had gone to Lan Wangji’s place to deal with something related to Wei Ying. As expected, they ended up arguing about how neither of them was good enough for their best friend.

(This was probably Jiang Cheng’s fault. He didn’t remember it, but it made sense.)
