There is shelter from the rain. Little crevices, alcoves, balconies, overhanging roofs all providing a reprieve from the storm. All too obvious. The first place anyone would look for shadows. Not here, in the storm, with his small body pressed against the roof tiles, water washing both above and below him. Just another small spot of darkness.
Vicenç pulls his hood as far as the fabric will allow. It's thick, wet, and heavy between his fingers, drooping over his face as he lets go. Where is the target? He scans the streets again, his eyes just a bit quicker.
You are not allowed to give up. Ever.

While under repair, a standard update introduces a new feature in Kara's code. She's not supposed to ask questions, but why is it only Alice that ever questions the thin hologram.
"My goal was to emulate human culture and behavior. Some units improve each other by working together. Others now have a reliable and compatible back up should something happen." Kamski clasped his hands together as he addressed the pair in front of him.
"So why bother if us humans can't see them, and what's the point if they're all going deviant anyways?" Hank asked, half expecting an answer, half knowing he wasn't going to get one.
