Techno slammed his fists against the transparent wall of his prison, trying his best to break it down. His captors backed up, whistling anxiously to each other.
He gave the barrier another loud crack, delightedly watching as they scrambled away in abject terror.
Nodding in satisfaction, he turned around to meet the eyes of two other prisoners that had been thrown into his cell.
He froze.
Right.
There were now aliens in his cell.
And he probably just scared the hell out of them.
Or: Humans are a dangerous race feared by all on an intergalactic scale. Techno, a human ex-soldier that was abducted by aliens 18 months ago, is biding his time in captivity.
This changes when two young aliens are sent into his cell to die.

That’s my line, Tommy’s heart mumbles. That’s my hell.
But his mouth manages to shape the words, even if his heart refuses to believe them.

Summary
It was as if lava had poured down their bond. Both Tommy and Wilbur went down with a scream, desperately trying to cut their bond, but it was too late.
By the time the lava cooled, and all the hunters were taken down, there was no magic to be called upon. As if the lave had turned to bedrock right in their core. As if all of their magic was hidden away behind unbreakable stone.
“Tommy,” Wilbur had gritted, jaw tight and eyes hard with anger. “What did you do?”
Bad luck, the card had said. Bad luck.
Tommy hadn’t proved himself. Tommy had embarrassed himself, Tommy had ruined Wilbur’s magic.
And it was all Tommy's fault.

After a spell leaves Tommy and Wilbur without magic, Tommy takes it upon himself to fix it. But after his solution, Tommy is stuck unwillingly going to alternate realities--of the futures that Wilbur has changed.
When Tommy's memory begins to slip, and he never knows if he's in his reality or a different one, he fights against what's real, what's fake, and what he feels he has to do to make up for his mistake.

Tommy hadn't been fighting in the pit for very long, but he loved it. It earned money, and he got to spend all of his time with The Blade. He was simultaneously helping Wilbur with money and himself with boredom! It was a wonderful arrangement, even if Tommy had to hide black eyes and bandages from Wilbur and some crucial personal information from Technoblade... but it would all be worth it in the end.

“The question is if he can control it,” Phil said, and Tommy tried very hard not to react. “From what we saw, he wasn’t the one initiating the conflict, it could be an accident on his part.”
“Hate it when I accidentally kill five people,” Techno said dryly. “Come on Phil, one, maybe two is an accident, after that it’s got to be on purpose.”
Five. They knew about five of them. Tommy supposed it could be worse.
“It sounds lonely,” Wilbur said quietly, ignoring the looks it got him from Techno and Phil, gaze terrifyingly focused on Tommy.
Tommy was cursed, he'd long come to terms with that. His power was destructive, a danger to anyone around him; he'd abandoned friends because of it before, but this time, well - there was just something special about Wilbur.
He knew though, that once Wilbur found out the truth, Tommy would have nothing. So he vowed to keep his power a secret - the only problem was, he'd always been a bad liar.

He glanced up again, and this time his eyes caught on the TV playing in the corner of the cafe. The volume was turned down, but Wilbur read the headline and found himself forgetting all about the drawings on Tommy’s jacket.
Coven cleared of all legal suspicion for recent Turning
The captions were on for the TV, and while they weren’t very accurate, Wilbur tried to read what the newscaster was saying anyway.
”The Turning was ruled by a judge to be an act of the Good Samaritan Law, and no criminal charges will be brought to the vampire or his coven as a whole.”
or, vampires and humans have coexisted for over a century now, each minding their own business. Frankly, Wilbur barely knows anything about vampires, and he likes it that way. All that matters to him is his bookstore job, his motorcycle, and his best friend, Tommy. It's not like he has any reason to get involved in the world of the undead. That's not his problem.
At least until the undead start knocking on his door, telling him that Tommy is somehow far more involved in the world of vampires than Wilbur could've ever guessed. Then it becomes his problem.

"Toms." Techno mutters, like it's his first and last word, it comes out soft, broken, and Tommy thinks he wants to cry.
Oh.
He's okay, they're okay, they don't fear him-
"I'm sorry." He rushes out, stumbling when he runs to get to them.
Not for even a second does he ever doubt Techno won't catch him, but he's still surprised when he finds himself in the arms of the man, he's shaking his head, whispering something along the lines of what the fuck, Tommy, you could have gotten hurt-
But he holds him, like he's something precious, like he's always been meant to be there, in the warmth of Techno's love. “I'm so sorry, I'm sorry, fuck, I'm sorry-”

Or; Tommy is the God of creation, for centuries, he's been torn between destroying humans or letting them be, so they eventually destroy themselves. But after too many sacrifices to his name, he's had enough of them.
(Or, or, unknown to them, Phil, Techno and Wilbur save all of humanity by being themselves.)

Summary
Tommy was an empath, which meant he could feel the emotions of the people around him and even change them around. His parents had always insisted that he help them. So throughout his childhood, he would take away their sadness and stress and held them to his own heart.
But they eventually got tired of him, got tired of having a freak as a child, tired of taking care of someone that needed so much, tired of dealing with everything Tommy is. So they left, packed up their stuff, and bought a house on the other side of the country. They left Tommy with enough money for a few months' rent till he found his own place.
One day Wilbur, his co-worker invites Tommy to his place for dinner. Already within seconds, Tommy feels like he has a place there like he's loved for more than his abilities.
So when Wilbur starts to spiral, Tommy takes his sadness, he takes it as a way to repay Wilbur for all the kindness he showed him, not realizing that Wilbur is fighting a much bigger battle than he signed up for.
But he has help now, he's not alone anymore. And they would get through this, together.

A headache flares between his eyes, and his words sound nearly inaudible compared to the song of open, open, open the door- “Spots already taken.”
It blinks, and the music screeches. “I- what?”
“The spot of monster bitch that’s going to kill me, torture me, whatever. It’s been taken, and I have a store to close.”…
Or: Tommy is just trying to hunt monsters, get revenge, and then finally die in peace. That all would be a lot easier, of course, if said monsters would stop being so fucking nice.

(or, my take on the "Dark SBI" trend i've seen going around, except.... well. SBI aren't really the smooth manipulators they want to be. Tommy, on the other hand-)

“I mean… yeah, let’s go with that in case this ends up on the news,” Siren shrugged, looking back at Tommy. “I kidnapped you, right?”
“Yeah, sure,” Tommy agreed, knowing that if they said he was kidnapped, it would keep people from getting suspicious of why he was seen in public with Siren. “Anyway, can I get the chicken nuggets happy meal, with a coke?”
or, how Tommy—who is not a hero, or a villain, or even a vigilante—saves the life of one of L'Manberg's most feared supervillains, and accidentally ends up becoming the resident doctor for every supervillain in town (and maybe gets a family along the way too).

“It’s not a theory. It’s just the truth, okay?” Tommy was horrified to feel tears burn up in his eyes. “I know I’m right about this.”
“Why do you even want to go back, then?” Technoblade asked, “I’m sure Sam won’t mind letting you stay here until for whatever reason the royal family comes over.”
The lump in Tommy’s throat was expanding, and he forcefully swallowed it down.
“I… I want to see them,” he admitted.
“There are photos, newsfeeds—”
“It’s not the same!” Tommy stared at his nicely polished shoes, shame burning at his cheeks for his outburst. “It’s not the same,” he said again, more quietly.
Prince Theseus was kidnapped from his home at age nine. Now, at fourteen years old, he reunites with his family, even though he believes they hate him.
