When Mario and Luigi found Yoshi, it seemed like they were the perfect team. But as weeks passed, it became more and more apparent that a quiet shadow was falling over Yoshi. His iconic, cheerful shouts of, "Yoshi!" have been losing their spark. Every night, it's almost impossible for him to fall asleep, so while the brothers are getting some shut-eye, Yoshi is always awake, drawing pictures of Yoshi's Island. This is because on the outside, Yoshi is cheerful and ready to help the Mario brothers save Peach. But on the inside, he's dangerously homesick and drowning in depression. But he wouldn't tell the brothers that... right?

Summary
There were two brothers: Michael, who is obsessed with video games, and Miles, who loves board games, especially Clue. One day, the two are playing Clue with their mom (even though Michael wishes he could be playing Mario Kart instead) when the brothers suddenly get sucked into the game. Mr. Green then finds the two in the billiard room and accuses them of killing Mr. Boddy, even though they didn't do it. Michael and Miles now have to prove that they didn't kill Mr. Boddy and help find the true culprit, unless they want to be charged with a murder they didn't commit.

When a particularly bad one hits the Mushroom Kingdom, it zaps Yoshi's sleep, so he tries to weather the storm the best he can. What he didn't expect was to find that a certain someone shares his exact fear.

I love the relationships between Yoshi and the Bros in this fic. I also got close to crying during the later part of the fic: it's that good. This is probably going to be one of those fics that I will keep rereading in the future just because I like it.

This fic has great themes about friendship and exploring the world around you, and I love the comedy and surprising detail one of the Yoshis uses about something completely random. The ending is amazingly heartwarming, as well. I'd really love to see more fics like this :)
